~Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries in JICA
Have you heard of JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency)?
JICA works to solve diverse development issues in developing countries by formulating development plans for each country, developing human resources, introducing new technologies, and improving infrastructure. JICA works in every field in the world, but this seminar will focus on young JICA staff members who have found employment with JICA by making the most of their agricultural majors, and will tell you about JICA’s work and what makes it attractive. Staff from overseas offices who are on on-the-job training will also participate!
The primary goal of the agricultural sector is to ensure a stable food supply. In recent years, the vulnerability of food systems and food security due to climate change, conflicts, and infectious diseases has become an issue, and JICA is required to make a greater contribution to the agricultural sector. Wouldn’t you like to know how your university studies can lead to a career?
