Walt Disney Japan will begin rolling out merchandise for its latest movie “Wishes,” which opens in theaters on December 15, at its stores and official online store from December 8.
The heroine Asha and her partner Valentino, a baby goat, as well as items from the wishing star, Star, are all available for purchase before and after seeing the movie.
The “Singing Doll” (4,000 yen) sings the song “This Wish” (in English) from the play. A star can be inserted into the ball of yarn. The light-up “figure” (4,000 yen) has a gimmick that changes color and expression when you pinch it.
The “Mug Cup” (3,520 yen) has a three-dimensional shape. It is a great accent for winter teatime. Other items include a T-shirt (4,950 yen), figure set (4,400 yen), and pin badge (2,860 yen).
Special Christmas decorations commemorating the movie’s release are also available at Disney stores nationwide until December 25. Be sure to check them out when you go shopping.
