Accor and Sapporo Real Estate Development will open Hotel Sousei Sapporo M Gallery (Kita 2-jo Higashi 3-chome, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido) on January 30, 2024. The hotel will have one basement floor and six floors above ground, with a total of 118 guest rooms.

The hotel is located approximately 15 minutes on foot from JR Sapporo Station. It is located in the Sosei East Area, east of the Sosei River, which flows through the Sapporo urban area. The area has supported Hokkaido’s development as an industrial district since the Meiji era when the area was pioneered, and even today, historical buildings and other townscapes can still be seen.

Right in front of the hotel is the Sapporo Factory, a former factory that supported Hokkaido’s beer production and is now a complex that includes a shopping mall, offices, a movie theater, and a museum. It is also within easy reach of Nagayama Memorial Park, the Sapporo TV Tower, the Sapporo Beer Museum, and other tourist attractions.

Each hotel in the Accor Group’s “M Gallery” hotel brand has a story that originates from the land where it is located. Hotel Sosei-Sapporo M-Gallery” takes advantage of the historical streetscape of the Sosei-East area and is themed on the “frontier spirit of Hokkaido’s pioneers” of the Meiji and Taisho eras.

The guest rooms were designed based on the concept of a modern Japanese Kaitakushi (pioneer mission) residence. The rooms are designed with a beautiful architectural style that blends Japanese and Western styles, similar to the Kaitakushi residences of the time. The hotel also features a restaurant, fitness center, lounge, and various other facilities.
