Matsumoto will release the SUPER LIGHTS ZIP-6 suitcase from SUNCO Bag on November 28 under the company’s new SUNCO brand.
It is available in two types: the SLZ6-49 carry-on size and the SLZ6-58 size for 3 to 5 nights, in black, ivory, and yellow. The SLZ6-49 is priced at 29,700 yen and the SLZ6-58 at 31,900 yen.
Sanko Bag” is a long-established travel bag manufacturer that went out of business in November 2022. Matsumoto has been working on reviving production of Sanko Bag’s signature products, and in September released the “SUPER LIGHTS MGC-2,” an ultra-lightweight frame model of the “SUPER LIGHTS” line. The “SUPER LIGHTS ZIP-6” was the second product to be released as part of the revival production.
It uses Sanko Bag’s signature technology to reduce weight while maintaining strength. The ultra-light weight of the main body allows the user to pack a lot of luggage even when there are weight restrictions.
The casters use “SILENT RUN casters” featuring smooth drive. They use a single wheel made of Risof material, which was jointly developed by Mitsubishi Chemical and Hinomoto Locksmith, to achieve good mobility and operability. In addition, the handle and interior fabric are treated with an antibacterial finish as an anti-virus measure.
