Conrad Tokyo will offer “WABARA & Strawberry Afternoon Tea” at its bar and lounge “Twenty-Eight”. The period is from December 26 to February 29, 2024.
Japanese roses, grown in an environment close to nature, are said to have a delicate yet supple strength that harmonizes with a variety of spaces and ingredients. From “Strawberry and rose verrini” and “Chocolate cup and pistachio ganache” using Japanese rose petal tea and taking advantage of its gorgeous aroma and deep flavor, to savories accented with rose essence and puree such as “Iberico pork chorizo quiche Lorraine” and “Pate de campagne Hibiscus and Rose Tea Bale with Wild Rose Puree” to the combination of sweet and sour strawberry and gorgeous rose aroma.
Popular items from the Strawberry Afternoon Tea, such as the Strawberry Tart topped with large strawberries and the Strawberry and Chocolate Brownie, will also be available. In addition to five kinds of sweets and three kinds of savories, two kinds of scones (plain and strawberry) will be served with clotted cream and strawberry jam.
The fee is 7200 yen per person on weekdays and 7,800 yen per person on weekends and holidays. On weekends and holidays, the price for the 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. sessions is 8,300 yen per person. The plan with Conrad Bear is 8,700 yen per person, and the plan with a cup of rose tea is 9,000 yen per person.
A Deluxe Afternoon Tea with Conrad Bear has also been added to the lineup. The tea will be served at a stand featuring the iconic Twenty Eight bottle rack, and guests can enjoy a glass of champagne to toast and as much of their favorite drink from a selection of about 20 different drinks. The price is 13,000 yen per person.
On January 9 and February 6, 2024, a WABARA lesson will be offered as a package deal with the standard afternoon tea, allowing participants to experience making a bouquet of 15 wabara roses. Limited to the first 16 people to arrive, the price will be 18,000 yen per person.
From February 1 to 14, 2024, a bouquet of Japanese roses will be on sale. The price is 7,500 yen for 10 bouquets, and it is an optional menu item for afternoon tea.
