The Austrian National Tourist Office has appointed musician HYDE as Austrian Tourism Ambassador. His tenure will be for two years, from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2025, and he will disseminate information through social networking services.
The appointment of a tourism ambassador is the first of its kind among its worldwide branches, and HYDE’s long-standing record of musical achievements and contributions to the music industry make him an ideal ambassador for Austria, as he will be able to communicate a deep understanding of the country’s attractions.
The inauguration ceremony was held at the Austrian Embassy in Tokyo on November 13. Upon receiving the letter of appointment, HYDE expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I have never been to Austria yet, but I would like to visit the country as soon as possible, discover its charms for myself, and spread the word to the people of Japan.
