Tokyo Metro will start selling “Hachiko 100th Birthday Commemorative Tickets” on November 11 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Hachiko, the loyal dog of Shibuya.

On November 11, four railroad companies that serve Shibuya Station (Tokyo Metro, JR East, Tokyu Corporation, and Keio Corporation) will release commemorative products as part of the “Shibuya Station Commemorative Products 4-Company Set. The set includes a commemorative paper craft of the old and new Ginza Line trains (Type 1000 and Series 1000). The price is 4,000 yen.

From November 12, they will be sold independently at Shibuya and Omotesando stations on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line. Those who purchase both adult and children’s sets at the same time will receive a limited number of commemorative mounts with illustrations of scenery and trains designed by Tokyo Metro Shibuya Station station staff for this project. The price is 600 yen for adults and 300 yen for children.
