Tokyo Disney Resort is currently celebrating its 40th anniversary year. If you are looking for a special meal at the park this winter, we recommend the “Special Set” (4,300 yen) at Restaurant Sakura at Tokyo DisneySea.
Restaurant Sakura is a popular restaurant where you can enjoy Japanese cuisine in a spacious setting. The “Special Set”, available only during the Christmas season, begins with an appetizer (marinated shrimp, scallops and avocado with yuzu) richly flavored with the aroma of yuzu.
The main dish, “Tuna and salmon roe on top of a bowl of rice topped with a generous serving of salmon roe and tuna,” is decorated with an image of a Christmas wreath. The “Wagyu beef and eggplant with tortoiseshell sauce” is gently seasoned.
The “grilled white fish with dengaku” dish uses Christmas-colored tomato miso for the dengaku, and other creative touches shine through. The snowflake-shaped daikon radish and other details also have a Christmas feel.
In addition, be sure to get the “Park Food To-Go” soup set (3,000 yen) when using the restaurant! You can also enjoy the famous “Charlie’s Special Miso Clam Chowder” motif at home.
