JR West has announced the name, logo, and train design for a new sightseeing train that will begin service in October 2024.
The name of the train is “Hanaakari. The name “Hanaakari” expresses the image of the various regions of western Japan being glamorized and illuminated by this sightseeing train.
There will be a total of three cars, all of which will be green cars. One of the cars will be a “Superior Green Car,” a new higher grade of seating. It will have 10 private rooms for two people, which are spacious and relaxing.
Details of the sightseeing train services and prices will be announced at a later date.
