Navitime Japan has begun offering “Circular Routes,” which automatically suggests cycling routes, on its dedicated bicycle navigation application “Bicycle NAVITIME.
Up to four routes can be selected so that cyclists can easily enjoy cycling without clear objectives or prior knowledge. Route shape, elevation difference graph, and calorie consumption can be compared, and “avoidance of busy roads” and “avoidance of unpaved roads” are also taken into account.
The route is designed to avoid taking the same road as much as possible, and is a circuit type route so that the outward and return routes can take different roads. The distance traveled can be specified in 1 km increments from 3 km to 40 km.
