JR Tokai Tours has put on sale tickets with special commentary for the Shosoin Exhibition at the Nara National Museum, available only on October 28 (morning session from 9:30 a.m., afternoon session from 4:30 p.m.), for 2,200 yen.
This plan will be held on the first day of the 75th Shōsōin Exhibition, which will be held by the Nara National Museum from October 28 to November 13, and visitors can gain a deeper understanding of the exhibition by attending a special 40-minute lecture before viewing the exhibition.
The lecturer will be Mr. Kazuya Sekiguchi, Branch Manager of the Kashihara Branch of the Yomiuri Shimbun Osaka Head Office. He will explain how to appreciate the treasures, as well as the historical background and highlights of the treasures on display.
Tickets are handled through the “EX Tabinsho Reservation” service, which can be applied for by members of the “Smart EX” and “Express Reservation” online reservation and ticketless boarding services for the Tokaido, Sanyo and Kyushu Shinkansen lines.
