Swedish Christmas Lucia Day Date and Time: December 9-10, 2023 (10:00 am – 4:00 pm)
Venue: Various locations in Metza Village This is an event themed on “Lucia,” a traditional Swedish Christmas event. The event will include sales of accessories and miscellaneous goods used by the Vikings, the ancestors of the Scandinavian people, live performances of the folk instrument “mouth harp,” talk shows and workshops. In addition, on the 9th only, children dressed as “Lucia” will perform a chorus of Swedish Christmas songs and Lucia classic songs, and the Swedish Ambassador is scheduled to visit the event.
Tonttu Festival Date and Time: November 11-12, 2023 (10:00 am – 4:30 pm)
Venue: Various locations in Mezza Village An event to discover differences and commonalities in terms of who I am and who you are, and to experience the diversity of the society that surrounds us. There will be a music stage, marché, workshops, etc.
Cantele Mini Concerts Date: December 9, 16, 23, 2023 (from 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.)
Venue: Market Hall Live performance of Christmas songs using folk instrument “kantele” Twice a day, about 20 minutes each time.
Christmas Concert by Musashi Kosho High School Brass Band Date: December 16, 2023 (from 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.)
Venue: Mezza Aukio The brass band of Musashi Koshio High School in Saitama Prefecture will perform Christmas songs. 20-minute performances twice a day, with singing and dancing to be enjoyed as well.
Dog Friendly Festa Date: December 16-17, 2023 (10am-4pm)
Venue: Mezza Auccio, Nordic Square, Utepils Goods to keep you and your pooch warm on a cold day’s walk and health-conscious treats will be on sale.
