Yeti, a ski resort at the foot of Mt. Fuji, will be the fastest winter opening in Japan on October 20. On the first day of the event, skiing is free if you “ski in costume”!

Pica, a member of the Fujikyu Group, will begin winter operations at Snow Park Yeti (2428 Fujiwara, Suyama, Susono, Shizuoka Prefecture), the second station at the southern foot of Mt. This will be the fastest opening of an outdoor ski resort in Japan for 25 consecutive years.

On the first day, an opening ceremony will be held from 9:45am. In addition to the appearance of “Susonon,” a local character from Susono City, Shizuoka Prefecture, there will be the annual event in which visitors in costume will receive free admission to the course.

Participants in costume must be wearing at least two items or dressed in an outfit that covers at least half of their body area, and must enter by 10:00 a.m.

On the day of the event, numbered tickets will be distributed and the first 300 people to arrive will be served Shizuoka Oden, a local specialty of Shizuoka. From this season, parking at Yeti will be free on all days, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
