JR West announced that it will release “SODATETSU,” a train-raising game application, in winter 2023; a pre-registration campaign began on October 5.
SODATETSU is an RPG in which players aim to become “Master Sodatetsu” by collecting and raising miniature “Sodatetsu” trains and competing in a “railroad contest.” The first Sodatetsu will feature over 200 different trains from JR West as motifs. Character design is by Taro Minohoshi, creator of LOVEPLUS and other games.
A campaign is also underway in which players can receive luxurious rewards depending on the number of pre-registered users; once 100,000 users are reached, SSR Sodatezu “West Express Ginga” will be given to everyone after the official service begins.
In addition, Sodates original railroad cards will be distributed to purchasers of railroad goods at the JR West booth of the 30th “Railway Festival” to be held at the Odaiba East Promenade on October 8-9.
