Air Closet announced the launch of Disney FASHION CLOSET, a fashion rental service for Disney items.
The character bound corsets were released prior to the fall 2023 launch. This is a new service of airCloset, a monthly fashion rental service, and will be charged on a pay-as-you-go basis. The first bouquet of nine character designs will appear in the first phase.
Bound Codes are a new culture that emerged in the United States. Unlike cosplay or masquerade, Bound Codes incorporate a character’s personality into personal clothing. It refers to the use of colors and striking icons in fashion to create a special feeling, while at the same time functioning as everyday wear.
The first lineup unveils the Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Bound Codes. Mickey Mouse features colors and designs reminiscent of his well-known tailcoat outfit. Minnie Mouse’s long skirt, dots, and fluffy transparent top give a girly impression.
The first lineup is mainly targeted at people in their 20s, and the company plans to offer services for couples and families in the future. In addition to rentals, the service is also available for purchase. The minimum rental period is 3 days and 2 nights.
