MUJI Ginza underwent a major renewal under the theme of food. Food & kitchenware sales area expanded.

Posted on September 20, 2023 by News Admin

Ryohin Keikaku will reopen its global flagship store “MUJI Ginza” (3-3-5 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo) on September 29. The store will be reborn as a “food” and other sales space with a special feel unique to Ginza.

The “MUJI Diner” restaurant on the first basement floor has been redesigned with a menu that makes use of carefully selected ingredients, such as pasta made from wheat and sustainable vegetables. Also on the same floor is a new wine section selected by the store’s sommelier.

The first floor will also begin handling chilled foods such as carefully selected cured ham, fresh cheese, and fresh pasta, as well as a wide variety of coffee beans, including 12 original Ginza-only blends, roasted and sold in the store.

MUJI Bakery” on the same floor will also launch new menu items such as “Croissant with Whole Wheat Flour” that you can eat every day and “Focaccia Sandwich” that you can eat right after buying.

The kitchenware floor on the 4th floor has expanded its product lineup. The kitchenware floor on the fourth floor will feature an expanded selection of Italian commercial tableware and cookware for use at MUJI Diner, as well as Japanese-made aluminum cookware for indoor and outdoor use.

Coffee & Salon” on the 6th floor offers home-roasted coffee, domestic whiskey, cocktails, and light pintsas to make everyday life a little more special and extraordinary. It also offers pairings of MUJI’s original blends with famous confections from Ginza and other areas of Japan.

Ginza Hitotsunagi Bar,” held monthly at Coffee & Salon, will increase the number of participants from 20 to 40 and promote efforts to connect with the Ginza district. The first event after the renewal is scheduled to be held on October 13 with Ms. Mizue Hotta of Mikasa Kaikan.

As part of the reopening project, MUJI will also sell a limited quantity of “Beef cheek demi-glace sauce curry” (1,000 yen), “Pasta & pasta sauce set” (1,700 yen), “Coffee set” (1,500 yen), “MUJI Ginza original jam bun” (400 yen) made by “Ginza Tsuki to Hana” located in Higashi-Ginza and other items will be sold. All sales will end as soon as they run out.

On the first day of the opening, an original goody bag filled with famous Ginza sweets will be distributed, and a diorama of the Ginza district made with MUJI products will be displayed at the front desk of the MUJI HOTEL.
