GoPro officially announced the GoPro HERO12 Black action cam.
It inherits the basic specifications of the HERO11, including the built-in processor, sensor size, and body size, and is capable of 10-bit shooting at 5.3K 60fps or 4K 120fps. The new HERO11 supports 5.3K and 4K HDR video, 27MP HDR photos, GP-Log + LUT color adjustment, and the image stabilization function has evolved to HyperSmooth 6.0.
Battery management has been revamped to improve power efficiency and extend shooting time up to twice as long (5.3K60fps, 70 minutes continuous with HyperSmooth 6.0 on).
In addition, the unit alone supports Bluetooth audio connectivity for monitoring and microphone recording support. The number of simultaneous connections is 4 units.
The Max Lens Mod 2.0, an external option for a wide viewing angle, is also new, providing 177 degrees at 40K60fps. Note that Max Lens Mod 2.0 is exclusive to HERO12 and not available for HERO11 and earlier.
The price is 62,800 yen for the HERO12 itself and 78,800 yen for the set with Max Lens Mod 2.0.
