OMO by Hoshino Resort to expand into Hakodate; renovation of “Hotel WBF Hakodate Kaijin no Yu” to open in summer 2024

Posted on September 9, 2023 by News Admin

OMO by Hoshino Resort will renovate Hotel WBF Hakodate Kaijin no Yu (Watatsumi no Yu) (24-1 Wakamatsu-cho, Hakodate, Hokkaido) and open it as the fourth OMO brand hotel in Hokkaido in summer 2024 (name to be determined).

The hotel is located a five-minute walk from JR Hakodate Station and is within walking distance of the Kanamori Red Brick Warehouse and Hakodate Morning Market, where a variety of stores are located. It is also within easy reach of the exotic Motomachi area, Mount Hakodate with its nighttime views, and Goryokaku Park.

The building will be closed for renovations on September 1, and after the renovation next summer, the museum will offer the “OMO Base” public space, “neighborhood activities,” a “neighborhood map” of deep town attractions, and other features. They also plan to offer hot spring baths and food experiences that are unique to the port city. Details will be announced around February 2024.
