Railway Shop Let’s start with the Railway Shop, one of the two stores in Studio Tour Tokyo. The interior of the store will be the first area to be opened to the media. Located at platforms 9 and 3/4, halfway along the tour route, the Railway Shop is a store that can only be visited during the tour. The shop offers a wide variety of items with Hogwarts Express motifs, including limited edition items that can only be purchased here. Once you reach the main store after the tour, there is no turning back, so if there is something you are looking for, be sure to get it.
Dumbledore’s Headmaster’s Room Next is Dumbledore’s Headmaster’s Room, located deep within one of the highest towers of Hogwarts Castle. The room is said to have been designed around the theme of astronomy for Dumbledore’s love of celestial bodies, with a large telescope in the center of the back of the set and a star chart and numerous astronomical instruments on the shelves. Don’t miss the sorting hat on the bookshelf in the back left corner. On the wall near the top of the head hangs a photo of the school’s past principal.
Potions Room While Dumbledore’s principal’s office was fenced off and visitors were not allowed to enter, the Potions Room set allows visitors to freely walk around the room (but not to touch the exhibits). A popular activity here is to hold your hand over a cauldron filled with medicinal herbs and take a picture with your smartphone of yourself in the wind mixing the potion. Pretend you are a Hogwarts student who is good at Potions and capture it on camera. This Potions classroom is quite dimly lit. The hundreds of potion bottles lined up in a row gave it an eerie atmosphere, just like Professor Snape’s place.
