Dogenzaka-dori dogenzaka-dori” opened. Yasuda says, “There is a different world on top of the hill.

On August 24, Pan Pacific International Holdings opened a large complex, “Dogenzaka-dori dogenzaka-dori” (2-25-12 Dogenzaka, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo).

The location is a 5-minute walk from Shibuya Station, on Dogenzaka facing Bunka-mura-dori and Dogenzaka Koji. The 115-meter-high building with one basement floor and 28 floors above ground houses a total of 12 stores (1-2 floors), office floors (3-10 floors), and IHG Hotels & Resorts “Hotel Indigo Tokyo Shibuya” (11-28 floors), and four entrances allow visitors to pass through the facility to go back and forth (in a circular route) in Shibuya. The building has four entrances and exits that allow visitors to pass through the facility and go from one place to the other in Shibuya. The building is commonly known as “Dodo,” derived from this name.

In the Shibuya area, which is undergoing a large-scale redevelopment project that is said to take place only once every 100 years, the concept is to “open up a path in Dogenzaka,” rather than to have the town blocked off by buildings. The concept is to create a new bustling center that attracts both domestic and international visitors.

On the same day, the opening ceremony of “Dogenzaka-dori dogenzaka-dori” was held, and Mr. Takao Yasuda, Chairman and Chief Advisor of Pan Pacific International Holdings, delivered a speech on behalf of the organizers. Five guests, including Ken Hasegawa, mayor of Shibuya Ward, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Dogenzaka Dori offers a wide variety of stores from food and beverage to lifestyle, including “Domise,” a new business model by Don Quijote that carefully selects inexpensive, high-quality products. Yasuda emphasized the appeal of Dogenzaka Dori, saying, “There are many wonderful facilities around Shibuya Station, but there is a different world on top of the hill.

He also said, “The new future of inbound tourism starts when people realize how interesting, delicious, and fun the city is. We hope to work together with the ward and local residents, as well as with the many people who come to Shibuya to have fun,” he said.
