The Yamaga Tourism Support Project Executive Committee of Yamaga City, Kumamoto Prefecture, will distribute “Yamaga Tourism Support Coupons” (60,000 coupons worth 1,000 yen each), which can be used at member stores, to visitors to lodging facilities in the city from September 1 in order to stimulate consumption in the tourism industry affected by the Corona disaster.
The coupon is worth 2,000 yen on weekdays and 1,000 yen on holidays per person per night (room rate of 5,000 yen or more). Up to 7 consecutive nights per trip are eligible to receive up to 13,000 yen (for a 6-night stay on weekdays and 1 night on holidays).
There are 30 accommodation facilities and 101 stores (as of August 18) where coupons can be used. The program will end when all coupons are gone.
