NEXCO West Japan has issued a warning that road closures are expected on expressways in the Kyushu region due to the approach of Typhoon No. 6.
The road closures expected from August 8 to 10 due to heavy rain and strong winds caused by the typhoon are between the Kurino IC and Ebino IC on the Kyushu Expressway, between the Ebino JCT and Tano IC on the Miyazaki Expressway, between the Kiyotake IC and Hyuga IC on the East Kyushu Expressway, and between the Kagoshima Nishi IC and Ichirai IC on the South Kyushu Westbound Expressway.
The road between the Asakura IC and Haki IC on the Oita Expressway is closed until 3:00 p.m. on August 8 for disaster restoration work to lift restrictions on two-way traffic.
