Ginza Line, increased trains to coincide with Jingu Gaien Fireworks Festival, approx. every 4 min. from 14:00 to 21:00

Posted on August 8, 2023 by News Admin

Tokyo Metro will increase the number of Ginza Line trains to coincide with the 2023 Jingu Gaien Fireworks Festival scheduled to be held on August 12.

A total of 26 extra trains will be dispatched between 14:00 and 22:00 for the Asakusa direction and between 13:00 and 22:00 for the Shibuya direction, with trains running every 3 to 4 minutes between 14:00 and 21:00. If the fireworks display is postponed due to inclement weather, additional trains will run on August 13, a back-up date for the display.

There are several stations scattered around the venue, but congestion is expected on the day of the event. In addition to the nearest Gaienmae station, the organizers recommend that visitors arrive with plenty of time to spare by using Aoyama 1-chome, Meiji-jingumae, Omotesando, or Kita-sando stations.
