The Metropolitan Police Department will enforce traffic regulations in conjunction with the Sumida River Fireworks Festival to be held on July 29.
On public roads, the area around the fireworks display site will be closed to vehicular traffic, with primary restrictions in place from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and secondary restrictions from 9:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Traffic regulations will be enforced on the Mukojima Route of the Metropolitan Expressway No. 6 as follows. Traffic congestion is expected on Keiyo Road, Nikko Kaido, Meiji Dori, Mitsume Dori, and Yasukuni Dori in the vicinity of the event site, so drivers are asked to divert to other roads.
