On July 27, Ikaros Shuppan released “Koku Ryoko vol. 46 (2023 SUMMER),” an A4-size, 128-page book priced at 1,740 yen.
The first feature, “In-flight Meal Perfect Book,” is an in-depth report on the latest in-flight meals, which have returned to normal after the Corona Disaster. Starting with a report on a Turkish Airlines flight in which a real chef served on board, the book goes through the in-flight meal catalogs of airlines around the world, JAL’s in-flight meals supervised by a star Japanese chef, ANA’s in-flight meals that meet diverse needs, and LCC in-flight meals, providing an overview of in-flight meals in Japan and around the world. The book also includes a document on the preparation of in-flight meals at an in-flight meal factory, and a look back at the history of in-flight meals, which began with sandwiches.
The first feature is “Wildlife Journeys. Wildlife” means wild animals, but it is the opposite of a stay-home in the Corona Disaster, suggesting the ultimate outdoor trip.
