Moomin Story will hold “Moomin Day Special Week” at Moomin Valley Park (327-6 Miyazawa, Hanno, Saitama Prefecture) from August 9 to 16.
Moomin Day” is a week-long celebration of August 9, the birthday of Tove Jansson, the author of the Moomin series. In addition to a special meet and greet with Little Mii misting visitors, there will be a “Stacking Stamps Rally” in which visitors can create a piece of art by stacking and pressing stamps scattered in five different locations.
Also, as Moomin Day limited events, there will be a special stage “Shouldn’t Everyone Dance?” and “~Moomin’s Day Commemorative ~Mezza Fireworks Display” will be held as Moomin’s Day limited events.
Limited food and drinks will also be available during the period. Colorful drinks and sweets such as “Otona no Cream Soda” with liqueur added and “Umi no Shizuku,” a water rice cake topped with soybean flour and brown sugar, will be available during the daytime, while one-hand menus such as edamame and grilled corn will be available at night to enjoy while watching the fireworks. Visitors will also receive a limited edition fan with the main artwork and event map.
