Posted on July 24, 2023 by News Admin

MUJI BASE KAMOGAWA (Ohata, Kamogawa City, Chiba Prefecture), an accommodation facility renovated from an old private house, will open on August 1.

MUJI BASE is a base for enjoying a community-based MUJI lifestyle using idle assets throughout Japan, and MUJI BASE KAMOGAWA is a 100-plus year old private house that the company planned and designed, and renovated. Reservations are accepted for two nights or more to enjoy life in Kamogawa over the medium to long term, and MUJI BASE KAMOGAWA provides amenities and local food sets (for a fee).

The hotel is also collaborating with local businesses in order to enjoy the local lifestyle, and plans include learning and experiencing agriculture exclusively for guests; in August, they plan to offer a Chiba Aqua Melon harvesting experience and a farm dairy farming experience, among others.

The facility can accommodate up to five people, and the fee starts at 55,000 yen for three days and two nights. Keys will be handed over at “MUJI Minna no Sato” (1696 Miyayama, Kamogawa City, Chiba Prefecture). Reservations are now being accepted through Airbnb.
