ANA international flights at Haneda 2 Tamiami reopen today! President Inoue: “Still time for summer vacation reservations”.

Posted on July 24, 2023 by News Admin

ANA resumed operations at Haneda Airport Terminal 2 International Flight Area on July 19.

The facility was scheduled to begin service on March 29, 2020, before the spread of the new coronavirus became serious, and to operate on routes to North America, Europe, and Oceania, but operations were suspended on April 11 due to flight reductions and suspensions following the rapid pandemic. It was subsequently closed for approximately three years.

For the time being, the airline will operate five flights a day, with the international area operating from 5:00 to 13:30. The first flight on the first day of reopening after a three-year absence was NH859 to Hong Kong.

Upon the reopening, Shinichi Inoue, President and Representative Director, said, “We have been waiting for three years and three months. We are very happy and excited. Although it opened as Japan’s new international gateway, it was closed after only 13 days. However, after the long tunnel of Corona, the recovery of demand for international flights became clear, and we are finally reopening today.

This international area offers convenient connections to and from domestic flights and has one of the largest lounges in Japan. Please note that ANA’s international flights are divided into Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. The terminal for arriving flights will be confirmed on the day of arrival. Please check it before using the lounge.

The number of customers traveling abroad has also increased. Symbolic of this is Hawaii, where the boarding rate for June exceeded 90%. Asian destinations such as Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan are popular. There is still time to make summer vacation reservations,” he said, expressing his joy at the reunion.
