Moomin Valley Park’s Summer Limited Event “Riviera”. The fantastic “Sea of Mist” will make you feel like on a Scandinavian vacation! Swimsuits will be shown for the first time at the Cara Grill, and a cool and refreshing menu will also be available!

Moomin Story will hold the summer event “Riviera” at Moomin Valley Park (327-6 Miyazawa, Hanno, Saitama Prefecture), themed on Scandinavian life, from July 8.

This is the first project in the park based on the story “Moomin on the Riviera” from the comic books, in which the Moomins spend a summer vacation. During this period, a large amount of mist and soap bubbles will appear in the main area “Moomin Valley,” making visitors feel as if they are bathing on a white sand beach.

The popular annual “mist production” has been expanded this year to include the road from the Moomin Valley to the lighthouse beyond. Parasols and beach chairs will be set up here and there, and the photo spots and decorations will be colorfully decorated to Riviera specifications.

The many greens and flowers growing in Hanno in summer contrast beautifully with Lake Miyazawa, giving the area a Scandinavian resort feel.

Moomintroll and Snork’s little boy will be wearing swimsuits for the first time. Character meet and greets will be held several times a day, and commemorative photos can be taken with the characters.

Other fun summer attractions include a water fountain where children can play in the water, a lakeside path where silhouettes of the Moomins emerge when water is poured over them, and the “Sea Orchestra” attraction, where splashes of water occur during screenings.

Cafes and outdoor stands will sell limited menu items only during the event.

The lineup includes four types of drinks: “Sea of Riviera,” a summery drink flavored with peach and pineapple; “Summer Vacation Soda,” a tropical drink with mango pulp; “Bongole Pasta,” filled with the delicious taste of seafood; and blue soft serve ice cream with an image of the sea.

In addition, goods perfect for summer outings such as sling bags, tenugui hand towels, and pouches decorated with Riviera art will also be available. For more information on events and facilities, please check the “Riviera” special page on the official website.
