From July 3, “Duffy & Friends’ Summer Night Melody” is underway, inspired by the summer night sky. In addition to the park decorations, special goods with chic designs to match the story are on sale.
In addition to the standard “plush charm” (2,200 yen), the lineup this time also includes convenient leisure items for summer, such as a “multi-gauze blanket” (4,200 yen) that is useful for protection against the sun and air conditioning. Check out the show windows of McDuck’s Department Stores decorated with “Duffy & Friends’ Summer Night Melody” stories and goods to coincide with the release.
The story of “Duffy & Friends’ Summer Night Melody” is “Duffy & Friends having a good time with Ol’ Mel playing a melody on the beach under the summer stars. Many of the special goods sold in conjunction with this storyline are in subdued shades of dark blue and purple, with designs that are easy for adults to use on a daily basis.
The design is based on calm blue and purple tones, and is easy for adults to carry and can be used all year round.
The “shopping bag” (2,500 yen) was particularly popular among those carrying it at the park on the first day of sales of this year’s merchandise. It is designed with a large illustration and has a wide gusset for ample storage. It is a pocketable type with a storage pouch that can be easily folded and carried around. The Or Mel plush charm (2,200 yen), sold separately, is displayed on the handbag in the photo below.
In the photo below, on the mannequin’s shoulder is a “stick-on plushie” (2,900 yen) of Ol’ Mel, the star of this story. The plushie cradled in his arms is wearing the new “Plush Costume” (5,400 yen). Attached to her skirt is a “plushie badge” (2,400 yen).
All of the summer plush costumes are cute with fresh colors, but the Leena Belle plush costume in particular is a four-piece set that includes a blouse, tulle blouse, culottes, and hair band, and the hair band looks great. Guests with Leena Belle plush toys should definitely check it out.
Other miscellaneous items and souvenir sweets are also newly available in the “Duffy & Friends’ Summer Night Melody” design. The “Key Chain Set” (5,500 yen), which includes all five types of key chains, is also available for purchase. The popular “Postcard Set” (750 yen) includes two postcards and stickers, and the postcards are so beautifully designed that you can’t help but want to display them.
The lunch bag (3,600 yen) has a large capacity of approximately 32 x 32 x 20 cm (width x height x gusset) and is large enough to be used for picnics, etc. Use it together with the seal container set (2,200 yen), which comes in three sizes, for summer outdoor activities.
