PUBFUN, an Impress Group company, has launched a service that allows users to make photo books of photos taken with their smartphones while traveling and other places and sell them on Amazon.
The company operates “Nekpub Authors Press,” a publishing support service for individuals, and “Pub Photo Pub Pic,” positioned as its easy mode, now supports use from smartphones.
By using this service, users can create original photo and illustration books by registering photos and hand-drawn illustrations taken with their smartphone cameras. The photo and illustration books can then be sold on Amazon using the Amazon POD (print-on-demand) system.
With Amazon POD, books are printed and shipped one at a time according to the reader’s order, so there is no initial cost, and the cost is deducted from sales as each book is sold.
