JR East Cross Station Development Company is currently conducting renovation work in a section of Ecute Ueno, an eco-friendly commercial facility at JR Ueno Station.
By July 20, the renewal of seven stores, mainly general merchandise, is scheduled to be completed. Renewals will be carried out sequentially from fall onward.
The newly opened “Ueno Land” is a capsule toy store based on the theme of Ueno. It will pre-sell “Machi Gacha” (town gacha) filled with the charms of the Ueno area and Taito City. It will be a new kind of capsule toy store where customers can purchase souvenirs of Ueno.
The sundries brand “YOU+MORE!” will reopen in a new guise as “Felissimo Humor! will reopen in a new guise as “Felissimo Humor! The brand offers products centered on animals typical of Ueno, in collaboration with art museums and aquariums. At the store, a free “Fufufu Ueno Zoo Map,” a guide map for enjoying the Ueno Zoo and the surrounding area, will be distributed.
