Car 1 Cockpit Lounge + Cafe The cockpit lounge of Car 1 is a sublime space inspired by the Nikko Kanaya Hotel and the Embassy Villa. It is designed to allow passengers to relax and enjoy the ride to Nikko, and its greatest feature is the wonderful view of the side windows and even the scenery ahead from the driver’s seat in front of the car. The train is also designed to provide a pleasant transition from the city, through the countryside, to the mountains of Nikko, with sofas that seat four, two, or one person, allowing families, couples, or friends to choose the one that best suits their needs. Priority is given to the café counter, which is described below, so a battle for seats is inevitable. At this test-drive event, the details of the menu offered at the café counter in the cockpit lounge were also revealed. The café counter is named “GOEN CAFE SPACIA X” (GOEN CAFE SPACIA X), based on the concept of “deepening your relationship with Nikko just by dropping by” and “connecting you with Nikko through the five senses: seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling, and touching. Passengers of car 1 have priority to use the café counter, but passengers of cars 2 to 6 can also purchase tickets at the designated time by obtaining numbered tickets online.
Car 2 Premium Seats Car 2 features premium seats in both 2-row and 1-row configurations. The seats are equipped with an electric recliner, a first for the company, so passengers can enjoy a relaxing train ride to their destination. The recliner, which operates at the touch of a button, allows the backrest to sink down and the seat to slide forward at the same time, providing a natural and deeper position that is very comfortable. A notable feature is the use of a movable pillow with neck support. This allows the position of the pillow to be freely adjusted up and down, as well as the angle of the part that supports the back of the head to the neck area, so that the head does not wobble when the vehicle is shaken from side to side. I found it very comfortable because it holds my head in place in a similar way to the neck pillows that are used on airplane trips.
