Okura Nikko Hotel Management has set July 3 as the opening date for Hotel JAL City Bangkok (22-1 Sukhumvit 55 Klong Tonnua Vadhana, Bangkok, Thailand), which was postponed due to the Corona disaster. The hotel will begin accepting reservations on June 16.

The hotel is adjacent to the Hotel Nikko Bangkok and can be accessed by a 3-minute walk from Thonglor BTS Skytrain station.

The area is dotted with Vitec, the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, and the International Hospital, as well as international restaurants, bars, and malls.

The 16-story hotel will feature 324 guest rooms with a standard area of approximately 28 m2, all equipped with bathtubs to create a chic and relaxed atmosphere. The hotel also offers 56m2 “J-Residence Rooms” equipped with shower booths, as well as a restaurant and three conference rooms.

The S-SEN restaurant on the second floor will offer an international buffet breakfast including Japanese food. The buffet will be available from 5:30 a.m. to accommodate early departures.

Guests will also be able to use the outdoor pool at the Hotel Nikko Bangkok for an additional fee.

On June 8, a ceremony was held to confirm the restart of the project with Grand Tower Enterprise, which owns the hotel.

Mr. Kikuhiko Okura, President of Okura Nikko Hotel Management, who is in charge of the hotel’s management, expressed his aspirations for the opening of Hotel JAL City Bangkok, the first overseas hotel, saying, “We aim to manage a hotel that provides a comfortable stay with the spirit of hospitality.
