Elecom has released a new foldable 3-panel mobile solar charger. It is priced at 16,980 yen.
This mobile solar charger can be used for outdoor activities in everyday life and as a disaster prevention item in times of emergency. It is a 2-port charger equipped with one USB Type-C port with a maximum output of 12W/2.4A and one USB Type-A port with a total maximum output of 15W/3A, making it possible to charge two devices at the same time. The USB Type-A port supports “Omakase-charging,” which automatically detects connected devices and charges them at the optimal output.
The solar panel uses MAXEON cells manufactured by Maxeon Solar Technologies, which have high conversion efficiency and can generate up to 21W. A current checker is provided to determine the current at the time of charging at a glance, and the power generation efficiency can be optimized by adjusting the angle of incidence with the included stand while checking the checker readings.
In addition, the foldable three-panel design makes it easy to carry and includes a pocket for storing charging cables, mobile batteries, etc.
