Art Space will hold its first exhibition in the Tokai region, Chiharu Sakazaki’s “Room with Penguin” at a special venue on the 9th floor of JR Nagoya Takashimaya (1-1-4 Meieki, Nakamura-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture). The exhibition will be held from June 7 to 13, 10:00 to 20:00 (until 18:00 on the last day).
New prints by illustrator and picture book author Sakazaki, creator of JR East’s “Suica’s Penguin,” will be on display, as well as art and goods for sale.
Visitors can enjoy popular collections such as “Penguin Bird and Flower Garden,” in which birds and flowers play; “Penguins and Cats,” which is typical of Sakazaki, who himself lives with his cat; and “Penguin Group Portrait,” which depicts the movement of a group of penguins.
In addition, the first 100 people to purchase prints will each receive an illustrated color paper signed by the artist.
