On May 24, Mr. Tran Luu Quang, Deputy Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, visited JICA Headquarters, and JICA President Akihiko Tanaka and Vice President Junichi Yamada met with him.
At the beginning of his remarks, President Tanaka expressed his pleasure that JICA was able to accompany Vietnam’s remarkable growth and expressed his hope for the strategic use of ODA to further promote sustainable and inclusive growth.
In response, Deputy Prime Minister Quang expressed his gratitude for JICA’s contribution to Vietnam’s development to date.
Thereafter, Vice President Yamada and Deputy Prime Minister Quang discussed the direction of cooperation and other issues, and confirmed the resumption of a regular consultative framework to promote the implementation of Japanese ODA projects in Vietnam and close collaboration between the two countries.
