Toshio Suzuki and Ghibli Exhibition” starts June 9 at Fukuoka City Museum. New exhibition area and limited-edition goods will be available.

FBS Fukuoka Broadcasting System, Nishinippon Shimbun, and Nishinippon Shimbun Event Service will hold the “‘Toshio Suzuki and Ghibli Exhibition’: We meet again! will be held at the Fukuoka City Museum (3-1 Momochihama, Sagara-ku, Fukuoka City). The exhibition will run from June 9 to August 31.

This is the first Ghibli exhibition at the museum in about four years, since the “Ghibli’s Grand Exposition” which recorded a total of 397,595 visitors in 2019.

This year’s exhibition will feature a new exhibition area that will be open to the public for the first time in Fukuoka, featuring Toshio Suzuki’s favorite films, past masterpieces, and hidden gems, as well as many original goods that can only be purchased at this exhibition. In addition, a number of original goods that can only be purchased at this exhibition will be on display, including valuable documents, project proposals, and three-dimensional sculptures.

Admission on weekdays is ¥1500 for adults, ¥1200 for junior high and high school students, and ¥900 for elementary school students; on weekends and holidays, ¥1700 for adults, ¥1400 for junior high and high school students, and ¥1100 for elementary school students.

During the exhibition period on Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and during the Bon Festival (August 14-15), advance purchase (by date and time specified) with Lawson Ticket is required.
