Tokyo Metropolitan Expressway Haneda line will be closed for 2 weeks from this weekend, the 27th. Traffic jam of up to 150 minutes is predicted.

The Metropolitan Expressway will be closed to traffic all day due to renewal work on the Daishi Bridge on the No. 1 Haneda Line. The period is from 5:00 a.m. on May 27 to 5:00 a.m. on June 10 for two weeks.

The Daishi Bridge was built when the bridge opened to traffic in 1968. More than 50 years have passed since its construction and 80,000 vehicles per day pass over the bridge, so renewal work has been underway.

The new bridge will be widened (from 16.5m to 18.2m) to meet current standards, and will be closed to traffic for two weeks for this replacement. The sections to be closed are as follows
