Lake Biwa Hotel offers a plan to view the Lake Biwa Grand Fireworks Festival from special seats for the first time in four years; reservations begin May 30.

Lake Biwa Hotel (2-40 Hamacho, Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture) will release a plan for watching the “Lake Biwa Grand Fireworks Festival” on August 8.

The hotel will offer a lottery-based “lodging plan” that allows visitors to watch the fireworks while relaxing in the privacy of a guest room with a great view, and a “one-day plan” that includes a seat for spectators and a meal on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Lake Biwa Grand Fireworks Festival will be held for the first time in four years this year after a period of self-restraint due to the Corona disaster. The largest fireworks display in the prefecture will be held off the Port of Otsu, right in front of the hotel, and visitors will be able to enjoy the power of approximately 10,000 fireworks from special seats (from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.).
