The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) held the “Amazing Thailand Amazing New Chapters Roadshow in Tokyo 2023” in Tokyo on May 18.

Twenty-four suppliers from Thailand, including hotels and airlines, came to Japan to hold business meetings for Japanese travel businesses. Under the theme of “Meet The Suppliers,” 24 suppliers from Thailand, including hotels and airlines, visited Japan to exchange information on travel products and services they will offer this year.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Kajongdeet Apichartrakul, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand Tokyo Office, took the stage to address the participants.

The purpose of this roadshow is not only to gather information on the latest products, but also to build mutual trust between the two countries and create new business opportunities,” he said. He expressed his delight that the event could be held for the first time in four years, after a period of restraint due to the Corona disaster.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand will continue to focus on the “Visit Thailand Year” tourism campaign in 2023, and will develop a variety of promotions and initiatives.

The company has set a target for the Thai inbound market to “recover to about 75% of the pre-Corona disaster level of 2019″ in both number of tourists and revenue, and expects approximately 25-30 million visitors from around the world to visit Thailand. In the Japanese market, the company hopes to welcome 870,000 visitors, a recovery of about 48% from 2019.

To promote this, we would like to offer a variety of travel experiences, especially to high-potential groups such as millennials, business travelers, sports enthusiasts, and active seniors,” said Cajondate Apichartrakun, in cooperation with travel operators throughout Japan.

He appealed, “We believe that we can definitely provide healing, surprise, and happiness to the people of Japan” through a wide variety of tourism themes, such as precious historical and cultural heritage, nature represented by beautiful beaches, Thai cuisine, and tropical fruits.
