Akebono has launched the “KUDOCHI Luxury Sauna Truck” service, a large sauna truck that allows visitors to experience the fully private luxury sauna “KUDOCHI” at any desired location throughout Japan.
KUDOCHI started with the Ginza store (8-8-5 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo), which opened last summer, and the Roppongi store (7-14-1 Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo) is scheduled to open on May 20 this year.
The new sauna truck, while a mobile sauna, is packed with full-scale facilities, including a sauna stove that can be customized up to 110°C, a water bath, an overhead shower, and a sofa. It can be used in places where water is not available.
Because it is for private use, self-launching is unlimited, and three types of aroma water are available for you to enjoy your favorite scent. Large waterproof sofas are also available, and up to four infinity chairs can be rented so that you can enjoy both internal and external air bathing on the spot.
The fee is 198,000 yen for a 12-hour charter, and 16,500 yen per hour thereafter. Distance traveled is limited to 200km, with an additional 3,300 yen per 10km.
