The Unzen Tourism Bureau in Unzen City, Nagasaki Prefecture, will hold a night bus tour “Unzen Nitatoge Premium Night” from May 11 to 14.
Take a chartered bus from Unzen Onsen Town along the Nitatoge Circular Road, which is normally closed at night, to the Nitatoge Observation Deck where you can view the illumination of the spring flowers “Miyama-kirishima”.
From there, walk and take the Unzen Ropeway to the Myokamidake Observatory at an altitude of 1,300 meters. It is said to offer a panoramic view of the stars and the night sky from Nagasaki’s highest peak.
The schedule will depart four times each day (from 6:00 p.m. / 6:30 p.m. / 7:00 p.m. / 7:30 p.m.), and applications for participation will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on the day of the tour by phone (0957-73-3434) or through a dedicated web page.
