Tokyo Disney Resort will add new special goods and a menu with souvenirs to the 40th Anniversary “Dream Go Round” event lineup.
On June 13, the company will release a shoulder bag, hat, and T-shirt that will bring back memories of the past. The shoulder bag reproduces the design of the shopping bag sold at Tokyo Disneyland when the park first opened, and comes with a ticket holder that used to hold admission tickets and other items as a pass case. The hats are designed with motifs that evoke the park’s history, such as nostalgic attractions, and feature the MEMORY-GO-ROUND logo.
The stickers, sold in sets of 20, feature designs of attractions such as the Skyway, which was popular from the park’s opening until 1998, and the Grand Circuit Raceway, which was enjoyed until 2017, as well as the pendants and ticket holders that were sold when the park first opened. The stickers are designed with pennants, ticket holders, and other items that were sold when the park first opened. Postcards depicting nostalgic attractions and scenes from past anniversary years will be sold in sets of 20 in retro-pop design tins. Masking tape will be available in six types, including one secret design, and will come with a tape cutter featuring Mickey Mouse from each anniversary year.
The lineup also includes other snacks that can be enjoyed even after eating, such as madeleines in packaging reminiscent of the shopping bags used when the park first opened, and potato snacks that are a reproduction of ticket holders. Candies with colorful colors and large, round shapes that were popular at the time of the park’s opening have also been reintroduced in a more convenient size. Assorted chocolates and rusks will also be available.
In addition, interior goods featuring motifs from past park attractions and events will also be available. Visitors can enjoy nostalgic goods at home, such as curtains featuring the “Mickey Mouse Review Rug” attraction from when the park first opened, and cushions featuring the Mickey Mouse balloon that toured the country for the 5th anniversary event.
And for the first time in about eight years, a Souvenir Lunch Box will be available. Miniature snack cases that look like miniature popcorn buckets that were sold about 15 years ago are also available for purchase.
On July 10, the company will release merchandise for the new Tokyo Disneyland parade, Disney’s Harmony in Color. The colorful petals are vividly depicted and packed with the glamour of the spectacular parade. In addition, “CONVERSE” produced merchandise will be released to commemorate the 40th anniversary.
