Posted on May 9, 2023 by News Admin

Etajima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, announced that the Seto Blue, a newly built vessel connecting Hiroshima Port and Etajima City, has been completed and will enter service on May 13.

Seto Blue is the first vessel built by the city in about 30 years, and will be a 28-meter-long, 91-ton catamaran with a maximum capacity of 150 passengers. The maximum speed is 26 knots. Her color scheme is based on blue, the image color of Etajima City, and her seating is positioned slightly outward so that passengers can enjoy the view of the Seto Inland Sea.

On the 13th, in conjunction with the departure of the first flight at 12:12 p.m. from Nakamachi, an onboard tour will be held from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m., and a departure ceremony will be held at 11:10 a.m.
