Sukoyaka Holdings and Vessel Hotel Development will hold the grand opening of the REF Okinawa Arena by Vessel Hotels on August 1. Prior to this, hotel reservations were accepted on May 1.
The eight-story, reinforced concrete hotel, with a total of 150 guest rooms, will be opened on the former site of the Koza Sports Park soccer field. Based on the concept of “THE Champloo (mix-and-match),” the hotel aims to be a locally-oriented hotel by preparing events to coincide with local festivals and sports games.
There will be a restaurant and a multi-purpose room on the first floor, and a large bathroom with sauna on the second floor (men’s bathroom: dry sauna, women’s bathroom: mist sauna), with a barrel sauna in the women’s bathroom. A music bar and swimming pool will be located on the top eight floors, and a convenience store will be located on the premises.
Guest rooms will be located on the 3rd to 7th floors, ranging in size from 17.1m2 to 82.9m2, with a total of 9 room types available. The rooms will mainly consist of double and twin rooms, including artist rooms featuring works by local artists and rooms inspired by the Ryukyu Golden Kings professional basketball team.
