35 minutes from Waikiki, Wai Kai complex with wave pools and water activities to experience.

Wai Kai (91-1621 Keoneula Blvd., Ewa Beach), Hawaii’s first standing wave pool, water activities, signature dining, and event experiences, opened this spring in Ewa Beach, Oahu, Hawaii. The main part of “The Line Up” is the Waikai Wave, which employs a city wave. The wave can be adjusted to a width of 30 meters and a height of 0.6 to 1.8 meters. It has a maximum of three lanes, with up to 10 surfers per lane. In the future, there will be a “Waikai Wave Surf Academy” supervised by Shane Beschen (former World No. 2, X-Games Champion, and Red Bull High Performance Surf Coach).

Waikai Lagoon is a 210,000m2 water activity facility facing the adjacent Pacific Ocean. In June, the company plans to start 2-hour and half-day kids’ camps for children.

Six surfside cabanas on the Surf Deck where guests can enjoy cocktails while admiring the view. The Narokai Club, a private lounge with sofa seating, sound system, live wave video, showers, lockers, and concierge service, is available. SESSIONS, a lifestyle and apparel store, will also sell original goods.

The “Lookout Food & Drink” restaurant offers a view of the “Waikai Lagoon” and the Pacific Ocean while enjoying dishes made with local ingredients. Every Monday night, the restaurant also hosts a “Waikai Show” with dancers, musicians, and live surfers with dinner courses.

In addition, Kitchen Door Napa, consisting of two restaurants, will offer a sophisticated yet approachable menu by Michelin chef Todd Humphries and others. The premium restaurant, Plaza Grill, will feature a full-service dining room, bar, open kitchen, and spacious lanai seating with lagoon views, allowing guests to enjoy their meals in a high quality environment. In addition, the Boardwalk Café, ideal for quick service, is available on the lagoon level.

In addition, there is an event plaza of approximately 5,600 m2 where various events are scheduled to be held throughout the year, including farmers’ markets, beer festivals, and Christmas events.
