Ace, lightweight, quiet suitcase made of polypropylene resin, which has a lower specific gravity than water

Posted on May 2, 2023 by News Admin

On April 29, Ace launched the Proteka Triaxis suitcase featuring lightweight and quiet operation. It will be sold at directly managed stores, department stores, and specialty stores nationwide, and will also be available at online stores from mid-May.

The product uses polypropylene resin, which has a lower specific gravity than water, to achieve a light weight of 2.1 kg in a carry-on size. The body surface is ribbed with uneven surfaces in a triaxial direction to ensure strength, making it both light and durable. It is also equipped with silent casters that are said to reduce the perceived sound volume by approximately 30% compared to conventional products.

Three sizes are available: the carry-on size “02381” (37L) is priced at 62,700 yen, the checked baggage size “02383” (72L) at 70,400 yen, and “02384” (93L) at 75,900 yen. Available in three colors: blue-gray, carmine red, and titanium silver.
