NEXCO Central Japan has added a function to its smartphone application “MICHIRAJI” to alert drivers before the point where a sudden event occurs.

The new system will provide notifications approximately 2 km before an accident, falling objects, or other incident occurs. The company claims that the new system will be useful in supporting safe driving by alerting drivers even in areas where there are no electronic billboards or other information-providing facilities.
