Moomin Valley Park’s “Umbrella Sky,” a seasonal attraction in early summer, will be aurora borealis-colored this year! New Soap Bubble Effect: “Moomin Valley and Umbrellas” from April 28th!

Moomin Story will hold the Early Summer event “Moomin Valley and Umbrella” at Moomin Valley Park (327-6 Miyazawa, Hanno, Saitama), themed on Scandinavian life, from April 28.

The “Umbrella Sky” is a colorful sky of umbrellas overhead, sparkling in the sunlight and rain drops. Moomin Valley Park will be decorated in a photogenic way until July 2 under the title of “Moomin Valley and Umbrellas.

This year’s event, the fourth in the series, is notable for its use of trendy aurora borealis vinyl umbrellas and soap bubbles. The umbrellas create a fantastic sight of fluffy rainbow-colored soap bubbles in a tunnel of umbrellas that stretches about 100 meters to the valley where the Moomins live. Visitors can enjoy the multiple changes in color depending on the time of day, the intensity of the light, and the shade of the grove of trees.

During the event, limited-edition products associated with the event will also be available.

First, at the Library Café on the second floor of the exhibition facility “COCHEMS,” two colorful drinks, “Little Mii’s Rainbow Bubble Tea” (600 yen each), will be available. The DAY version, which is inspired by the blue daytime sky, is available from 11:00 to 14:00, while the SUNSET version, which is inspired by an Akane-iro sunset, can be enjoyed from 14:00 to the evening.

The bottom is filled with tapioca that resembles soap bubbles, and the special thick straw is decorated with Little Mii.

At the park store, visitors can purchase limited edition souvenirs such as “stick baumkuchen” with the event logo, “gnoronyo amber sugar” with a special Little Mii silhouette, and a mysterious umbrella that reveals a “hidden design” when it gets wet from the rain.

The vinyl umbrellas used in the exhibition will be upcycled after the exhibition and reborn as pouches and other goods, which will be available for sale around September. For more information on the event, please visit the “Moomin Valley and Umbrellas” special page.
